Sharni Vinson is an Australian-American actor, dancer and actress born on July 22, 1983, in Sydney Australia. In 2001, Sharni Vinson was cast in two episodes in Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. The casting agent wanted to have her play one of the leading characters. She however did try out for the role, but she wasn't selected. Instead, on the same show, she played the character of Cassie Turner, the troubled teenage girl who was being looked after by foster parents. Fans and critics of the show praised the role she played.
