Ina-Garten

Ina Gardner is the writer of a number of popular American cookery books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, which began in 2002. Ina began writing policies and nuclear energy papers in the White House. Although she found her job to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she stopped her pursuit and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. The store was very successful for 18 years, until she decided to sell it. After that, she started the first book. Several other books and magazine articles followed. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too began its run and was a huge success. In addition, she offers products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and other equipment. Ina has never attended any cookery schools nor was she employed at a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. Her name is associated with her casual style of cooking and entertaining. Some of her most popular recipes include Skillet with Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese paired with Beatty's Chocolate Cake as well as Lemon Bars.
