Pickler's childhood was a rocky one. When she was two the mother of her fled from an unfaithful relationship. In 1995, she returned to Pickler's world and gained custody. This did not go well. Pickler, then 12, was remanded to her parents by the court. They took care of her until she turned an adult. Pickler could not be a parent to her children when they were absent. Pickler stated that time was limited, and she figured out how to look after her family at a young age. Pickler was a member of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading squad. She graduated in 2004 at North Stanly High School. Pickler tried out her luck in the world of beauty contests. Her name is Miss Stanly.
