Luciana was raised to be a child in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian military officer. Her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's mistresses. Luciana does not have known siblings. Luciana was a graduate of a local high-school in 1955 and went on to study naval engineering in Milan, at the Scientific Academy of Milan. Luciana as the sole female in her class, was the first to be a graduate. Her modeling career began within two years. However, this changed when she received her first acting part through a chance encounter during a visit to her father's Rome close friend. It was a two-line part in the film Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey - an actor was her first husband. They made Return to the Peyton Palace in 1960 after they were married. The couple was blessed with one son, named Charles born on the 13th of June 1961 but divorced a year after the birth of Charles and Luciana was granted custody. Luciana who was a performer and producer was a part of Tony Athony's band between 1962 and 1970. Tony Athony was attracted by Luciana's performance on Green Slime.
